Principal Linux Engineer
Project - the aim you'll have
Our client is a company with over 20 years of experience in providing managed services to entities in the BeNeLux market. We are building a Shared Services team, which will provide support for CM, monitoring, CI/DC, LCM and teams working directly with clients.
Position - how you'll contribute
- Support of IT systems.
- Design and implementation of new solutions.
- Cooperation with the Information Security department in elimination of detected vulnerabilities on running systems as well as at the stage of design / implementation of new solutions.
- Incident analysis, troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Provide L2 support.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Contribute during design and implementation of new projects.
- Work closely with our colleges in Netherlands.
Expectations - the experience you need
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading teams
- Good knowledge of Linux/UNIX system.
- Experience in system configuration in accordance with industry best practices and standard, including security.
- Proficiency in Configuration Management, using automation (Bash, Python, Ansible) but mostly automation platforms (AAP/AWX, Puppet, SaltStack).
- Working knowledge of content management for Linux using platforms like RedHat Satellite, Spacewalk or Uyuni.
- Good understanding of Infrastructure as a code. Experience of maintaining such infrastructure. Use of tools like Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, Ansible.
- Experience with CI/CD implementation and maintenance, especially with Gitlab CICD.
- Working knowledge of Grafana and ELK stacks.
- Working knowledge of monitoring solutions like Icinga, Zabbix, Nagios.
- Understanding of virtualization principals. Experience with virtualization platforms like VMWare, Xen
- Basic networking knowledge (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, Load-balancing)
- Very good organizational skills.
- Spoken and written English – B2 level at minimum.
