Senior Test Automation Engineer (C# + Selenium/Playwright)
Join our dedicated QA Automation team working on a high-impact project for one of our UK-based clients. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a strong focus on innovation and quality.
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will design, develop, rewrite, and execute automated tests, working closely with other QA Automation Engineers and developers to identify testing needs and implement robust solutions using C# and Playwright. With 80% of your time dedicated to test automation, you will be able to deepen your expertise in automation and help shape the future of our testing practices.
- Create UI Tests: Translate existing manual test scripts into automated UI tests using C# and Playwright.
- Refactor Test Suite: Review and rewrite the current C# + Selenium test suite into the C# + Playwright framework, ensuring better performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Enhance Framework: Develop, modify, and extend the existing C# + Playwright automation framework to meet the evolving needs of the project.
- API Testing: Create and maintain automated API tests to validate the integration and functionality of backend services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the QA team, developers, and other stakeholders to understand testing requirements and contribute to test strategy development.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize the testing process and improve test automation efficiency across the team.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in C#, deep understanding of object-oriented programming, and good programming practices.
- Basic knowledge of the Playwright framework for test automation.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, NUnit, and Jira for test execution, reporting, and task management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline practices, integrating test automation into the software delivery lifecycle.
- Solid understanding of QA development techniques and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to work on UI testing automation.
- A strong ownership mindset with the ability to take responsibility for the quality and completeness of the testing process.
- Demonstrates an Agile mindset, with experience in Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English at a minimum B2 level.
- Commercial experience with the Playwright framework will be considered an advantage.
- A demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
