The media company is one of the leading players in the Polish media market, offering a wide range of television channels and digital platforms. It specializes in producing news, entertainment, and sports programs, reaching millions of viewers nationwide. As part of an international corporation, it effectively competes with other broadcasters through innovative content and a strong advertising market position.
- The main task will be creating reports in PowerBI for IT deparments.
- Managing workspaces, configuring automatic data refresh, and handling permissions (RLS).
- Working with various sources: Connecting to SQL databases, APIs, Excel/CSV files, as well as cloud services (e.g., Azure, SharePoint).
- SQL Proficiency: Writing queries for preliminary data processing before loading into Power BI.
- Advanced proficiency in Power Query / M: Ability to efficiently clean, transform, and combine data from distributed sources.
- Data Modeling (Star Schema): Designing efficient models in a star architecture (distinguishing fact tables from dimension tables), which is key to report performance speed.
- Performance Optimization: Knowledge of techniques such as Query Folding, as well as handling large data volumes.
- Proficiency in DAX language: Creating advanced measures, Time Intelligence calculations (year-over-year, moving averages), and managing filter context.
- Understanding of business processes: Ability to translate raw numbers into key business metrics (e.g., churn rate, gross margin, ROI).
- Visualization and User Experience (Front-end)
- Data Storytelling: Skill in presenting data logically, guiding users from general overview to details (drill-down, drill-through).
- UI/UX Design: Aesthetic and readable element placement, selecting appropriate chart types for specific research questions, and attention to accessibility (color schemes, contrasts).
- Interactivity: Using bookmarks, field parameters, and dynamic titles.
- Curiosity: Questioning data inconsistencies (before the client does).
- Communication: Ability to “translate” technical complexities into the language of benefits
