About the role:

We are seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer with a strong software engineering mindset and site reliability engineering skills to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building reliable, scalable systems and automating everything from infrastructure provisioning to incident response. You will work closely with software engineers to ensure our applications run smoothly in production, with high availability and resilience.

    Expectations - the experience you need

    Key Responsibilities

    • Reliability & Observability: Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Datadog, Azure Monitor) to proactively detect issues, measure SLIs/SLOs, and reduce MTTR.
    • Automation: Develop tools and automation scripts to eliminate toil and streamline operations.
    • CI/CD Engineering: Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or similar) to accelerate software delivery.
    • Resilience Engineering: Participate in capacity planning, chaos engineering, and performance tuning to ensure services scale reliably under load.
    • Incident Response: Lead post-incident reviews, develop runbooks, and implement automated remediation to prevent future occurrences.
    • Cloud-Native Development: Collaborate with developers to design cloud-native architectures using containers (ECS, EKS, or AKS), serverless (Lambda/Azure Functions), and event-driven patterns.
    • Security & Compliance: Integrate security controls into infrastructure pipelines, perform regular audits, and champion DevSecOps practices.
    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, manage, and scale infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) across AWS and Azure.

     

    Job Skills/Requirements
    – +90% English written and oral (at least B2 level) with excellent communication skills
    – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
    – 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
    – Strong coding skills and experience building internal tooling or automation.
    – Experience managing workloads in AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, VPCs) and/or Azure.
    – Solid understanding of distributed systems, networking, and cloud-native design patterns.
    – Hands-on experience with monitoring/observability platforms (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
    – Familiarity with chaos engineering, capacity planning, and reliability best practices.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience with error budgets, SLIs/SLOs, and incident management frameworks 
    • Background in software development or systems programming.
    • Experience building self-service platforms for engineering teams.

    Soft Skills

    • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Desire to work cross-functionally with developers, QA, and product teams.
    • Bias toward automation and continuous improvement.
